Cherries and sage? Yes! It’s a combination that works! This cherry crumble is a festive way to celebrate the holidays!
Ingredients

- 10 ounces frozen, unsweetened cherries
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 fresh sage leaves, torn
- 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoon rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons cold butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375’F and coat 4, 6 ounce ramekins with with non-stick cooking spray and place on a baking sheet.
- Add the thawed cherries to a microwave-safe bowl and thaw in the microwave using the defrost setting.
- Remove bowl from the microwave and add 2 tablespoons flour and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. Toss to coat, then distribute among the ramekins. Cover the ramekins with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- While cherries are baking, prepare the crumble. To a food processor, add the sage, light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons all purpose flour and salt and pulse 8-10 times, or until sage is finely chopped. Add the oats and walnuts and pulse 4-5 times. Add the butter and pulse 15-20 times, until crumbs are formed.
- Carefully remove the ramekins from the oven and distribute crumble topping over each. Leave uncovered and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool and serve with whipped cream or plain Greek yogurt.
